Norma was born in Ontario but being part of a RCAF family moved to the island at a young age. She is a long-time resident of Langford that attended both Happy Valley Elementary and Belmont Secondary. After marrying her husband Mark, together they now continue to live in Langford and enjoy all the conveniences and amenities the city has to offer. Juan de Fuca recreation centre was a second home for Norma. She played on the first West Shore Girls hockey team and after many hours of dedication to the sport of Figure Skating attained a Gold level in Ice Dancing. You will still see Norma at many different events as she continues to be a strong supporter of local sports and arts. Norma continued on with post secondary education to a rewarding career as a Dental Hygienist. She was grateful when she was able to work in the community in which she lives. She has volunteered on different committees for the community of Langford for twelve years and is looking forward to helping the residents of Langford see its full potential and opportunities. Norma loves living in Langford and wants to add a fresh perspective to move Langford forward. She will work hard to represent her community with integrity, honesty and treat everyone with the utmost respect.

Norma has served on several Langford committees for 12 years. She shows leadership and the knowledge required to cut red tape while supporting jobs , recreation and infrastructure in a cooperative manner with council staff and residents. She absolutely has my support.
I am impressed by Norma’s ability to work collaboratively with different community members, Councillors and board members. I would look forward to working together with her as a member of Langford council.
